Professor Talal Yusaf
Central Queensland University – Australia
Title: Hydrogen production challenges & future prospective
Professor Talal Yusaf currently hold the position of Chief Business Development Officer at Aviation Australia, Queensland Government Australia and Adjunct Professor at Central Queensland University. Professor Yusaf commenced his role as Pro Vice Chancellor, International and Partnership at Federation University Australia in September 2018, and was the Executive Director (International and Research Partnership) at University of Southern Queensland (2008-2018). Professor Yusaf’s international university career has included teaching, research and management positions in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and in Queensland for the last 30 years.
Professor Yusaf holds PhDs in renewable energy and biotechnology and has a strong research background in Alternative Fuel (Biofuel and Hydrogen) and environmental pollution, and mechanical method for water treatment. Professor Yusaf’s academic qualifications include BSc (Hons) UoT Baghdad 1987, PhD1 USQ Queensland Australia and PhD2 National Uni UKM Malaysia 1999. Professor Yusaf has supervised over 50 PhD and Postgraduate students and has written and contributed to over 165 journals and 10 books.

Professor Jonathan Barratt

University of Leicester – UK

Title: Development of new therapies for IgA nephropathy

Jonathan leads the Renal Research Group within the College of Life Sciences University of Leicester. His research is focussed on a bench to bedside approach to improving our understanding of the pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy a common global cause of kidney failure. Jonathan is the IgA nephropathy Rare Disease Group lead for the UK National Registry of Rare Kidney Diseases (RaDaR) and a member of the steering committee for the International IgA Nephropathy Network. He works closely with pharmaceutical companies interested in new treatments for IgA nephropathy and is Chief Investigator for a number of international randomised controlled Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials in IgA nephropathy and was a member of the FDA and American Society of Nephrology Kidney Health Initiative: Identifying Surrogate Endpoints for Clinical Trials in IgA Nephropathy Work group.

Prof. Dr. Ali AL-Ahmer
Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, USA
Professor in Mechanical & Alternative Energy Engineering. Have 9 years of experience in research and teaching, gained from working at universities in Jordan, USA, Australia, and Germany.
He is a professor and visiting scholar at Auburn University in the Industrial and Systems Engineering department from Feb. 2022-until now. Alahmer is a professor in the mechanical engineering department, Tafila technical university, 2022.  Chairman of Mechanical Engineering Department at Tafila Technical University, 2020-2021. Associate Prof. in the alternative energy technology department, faculty of engineering, Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan (ZU), Jordan, 2019, as sabbatical leave. Alahmer received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, SC, USA in 2011. He joined the ME department at the Tafila Technical University (TTU), Jordan, in 2012 as Assistant Professor. His research concerns emission control, human comfort, renewable energy, alternative fuel, and air conditioning system. Alahmer got an Australian Endeavour scholarship and fellowship from August 15, 2015, to January 31, 2016, at the school of engineering and ICT, University of Tasmania, Hobart, TAS, Australia as a visiting researcher professor. Moreover, he got a (DFG) scholarship from June 1, 2017, to August 31, 2017, at Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe – University of Applied Science, Höxter, Germany. Dr. Alahmer got the award of the best second design for participating in the Formula Student Class II-2018 competition, 11-14 July, in the UK among 36 international universities. Dr. Alahmer had several publications in more than 58 articles in privileged journals and conferences. Furthermore, he published a book and a chapter. He has 1221 citations according to google scholar.

Empowering the Next Generation: Integrating Climate Literacy and delivering Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through Clean Cooking Solutions
Dr. Charu Khosla
Director of Academics & Research for International Affairs at Chitkara University, India
Dr. Charu Khosla earned her PhD in Environmental Technology & Management from Punjabi University, Patiala, with a focus on Water and Wastewater Treatment using BioResins. Her academic portfolio includes numerous publications in both national and international journals, with around 38 papers presented at various global conferences. She holds 12 patents, has contributed to 3 book chapters, and has delivered 23 invited expert talks.
As a women-led entrepreneur, Dr. Khosla has developed BB ooर्जaa, an innovation aimed at converting agro waste into clean fuel, with improved draft smokeless stoves. This innovation has earned her widespread recognition and several awards. In 2023, she received the International Award for Partnership and Collaboration from Federation University, Australia, for her contributions to Maintenance, Reliability, and Asset Management. She was also honored with the Greenpreneur Award-2021 by Startup Punjab and the Department of Industries and Commerce in collaboration with FICCI FLO, acknowledging her work in energy management. She was also the first woman to receive the Best Eco-Friendly Research of the Year Award from Mr. Sainy Tiemele, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire. Dr. Khosla’s innovation BB ooर्जaa was recognized as the runner-up for the prestigious H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Sustainability Award in 2020.
Other accolades include the International Human Star Award (USA, 2018) and the Startup India Himachal Pradesh Yatra Award (2018).
