Preparing Your Proceedings Paper

AIP Conference Proceedings uses author-prepared PDFs for all published content and will not send out author proofs prior to publication. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all manuscripts are submitted in their final form and that all fonts are embedded. AIP author template packages contain comprehensive advice and guidelines for authors—including a Do’s and Don’ts checklist—all papers must be prepared abiding by these guidelines. Well-prepared manuscripts enable rapid publication.

  • When preparing your manuscript for AIP Conference Proceedings, please abide by the following requests:

1. Download your template package for Word or LaTex.
2. Do not add page numbers or headers/footers.
3. Do not alter the margins of our templates.
4. Paper size is 8.5 x 11.
5. The paper must include the author name and full affiliation address including country.
6. Use clear, legible graphics and diagrams contained within the margins.
7. Do not use copyrighted material without permission and proper crediting.
8. All pages are to be in portrait.
9. References are prepared using our sample reference guidelines (available in the template package). References can only be linked if they are complete.
10. Embed all fonts into your manuscript PDF.

What to send to your conference organizer:

• A final PDF file of your paper with fonts embedded.
• Copies of permissions to re-use copyrighted material.

Copyright Release Form

The Editor of the conference is required to secure a copyright release for each paper signed by at least one author for each paper. The signed copyright releases should be sent to AIP Publishing along with the manuscript. (Please note that the exception at the bottom of the form is for US federal government employees only).

The International Journal of Thermofluids is a gold open-access journal publishing original papers and short communications in heat and mass transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion.

Preparing Your Paper

International Journal of Thermofluids is devoted to the publication of original research papers concerned with fundamental studies on the physics of processes involving heat transfer and their coupling with mass transfer and/or fluid flow. The journal especially welcomes papers aiming at a better understanding of the coupling of local mechanisms and their interactions in larger-scale systems. Papers submitted for publication may contain either experimental results, numerical simulations, or discussions of models, and must present a significant scientific contribution.

Submission checklist:

• Manuscript has been ‘spell-checked’ and ‘grammar checked’
• All references mentioned in the Reference List are cited in the text, and vice versa
• Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet)
• A competing interests statement is provided, even if the authors have no competing interests to declare
• Journal policies detailed in this guide have been reviewed
• Referee suggestions and contact details provided, based on journal requirements
